Preface
With the launch of Apple's dual USB-C power adapter, leading a new form of USB-C adapter and changing consumers' usage habits, multiple fast charging manufacturers have launched dual port adapters that support automatic power distribution to meet the simultaneous charging needs of two devices.
Beishida has launched a 35W dual USB-C adapter with dual port support for blind power insertion, which can meet the power supply needs of laptops. When dual ports output simultaneously, it supports 18+18W power distribution, meeting the needs of simultaneous charging. Below, the charging head network will disassemble this charger to see how dual port fast charging is designed.
Previously, the charging head network also disassembled products such as the Beishida 33W 1A1C digital fast charging charger and the Beishida 20W 1A1C digital fast charging charger. Please feel free to check them out.
Appearance of Beishida 35W charger
The appearance design of the Beishida 35W charger adopts rounded and full lines with a white shell, a high gloss surface treatment, and left and right mold packaging. The appearance is very similar to the original Apple charger.
The side of the body is printed with charger parameters
Model: K16
Input: 100-240V~50/60Hz 0.85A
Type-C1/C2 output: 5V3A, 9V3A, 12V2.92A, 15V2.33A, 20V1.75A
PPS:3.3-11V3A
C1+C2 total output: 18W+18W (36W Max)

The charger is equipped with foldable national standard pins, making it easy to carry.
And the shell on one side of the pin is designed with double wings to ensure stable use.
The other end is equipped with dual USB-C interfaces and a white rubber core.
The height of the charger body was measured to be 56.17mm.
The width is 56.03mm.
The thickness is 28.31mm.
Compared to the Apple 35W charger, the two have comparable volumes.
The size of the product in the hand is intuitively felt.
Additionally, the net weight of the charger was measured to be approximately 111g.
The USB-C1 port supports FCP, SCP, AFC, QC3.0, PD3.0, PPS, QC4+fast charging protocols as measured using ChargerLAB POWER-Z KM002C.
And it also has five fixed voltage levels of 5V3A, 9V3A, 12V2.92A, 15V2.33A, 20V1.75A, as well as one PPS voltage level of 3.3-11V3A.
The compatibility protocol of USB-C2 port and USB-C1 port were tested to be exactly the same.
PDO messages are also the same, with two C-ports supporting power blind insertion, making daily use convenient.
Dismantling of Beishida 35W charger
After reading the appearance and testing of this charger, let's disassemble it and see how the internal workmanship and materials are used.
Remove the charger casing along the seam, and stick a thermal pad on the back of the PCBA module to dissipate heat.
Remove the internal PCBA module, fix the capacitor and transformer with adhesive, and connect the folded pins to the power supply through spring clips.
The length of the PCBA module measured using a vernier caliper is approximately 50.15mm.
The width of the PCBA module is approximately 49.94mm.
The thickness of the PCBA module is approximately 19.69mm.
The PCBA module is composed of three PCBs soldered together. Welding fuses and NTC thermistors on the input end small board.
Output end small board soldering USB-C socket and voltage reducing inductor and other components.
Clean the adhesive on the surface of the PCBA module. Take a look at the front of the PCBA module and solder a small board in the upper left corner for power supply, which includes the high-voltage filter capacitor and transformer. Insert isolation plates into the slots between the first stages for insulation, with a secondary protocol board at the bottom. Weld the voltage reducing circuit and USB-C socket, as well as the output filtering capacitor.
On the back of the PCBA module, solder rectifier bridge, primary power chip, feedback optocoupler, surface mount Y capacitor, and synchronous rectifier chip.
Through observation of the PCBA module of the charger, it was found that the 35W dual port charger from Beishida adopts a QR switch power supply design, which uses a Shilan Micro primary chip combined with a Dongke synchronous rectification chip to form a fixed voltage output switch power supply. The output adopts a secondary synchronous voltage reduction circuit, achieving blind insertion of dual port power and automatic power distribution. Let's start from the input end to understand the design and materials of the entire charger.
Weld a small board vertically at the input end, connect the folding pins for power supply, and also weld fuses and NTC thermistors on the small board.
The input delay fuse specification is 2A 250V, with surface mount soldering.
The 5D-7 NTC thermistor is used to suppress surge currents when the charger is plugged in.
The common mode inductor is made of enameled wire and insulated wire winding, insulated with a heat shrink tubing jacket, and welded with an insulated bracket at the bottom.
The rectifier bridge comes from Yufengwei, model FMB40M, and is a fast recovery rectifier bridge with a specification of 4A 1000V. YFW Youfeng Micro Brand
