What is the function of ultrafast recovery diode? With the development of electronic components, diodes are also one of them. Ultra-fast recovery diode (fred for short) is a kind of semiconductor diode with good switching characteristics and short reverse recovery time. It is often used as a freewheeling, absorption, clamping, isolation, output and input rectifier for switching devices of high-frequency inverter devices, so that the functions of switching devices can be fully exerted.

Mainly used in switching power supply, PWM pulse width modulator, frequency converter and other electronic circuits, as high-frequency rectifier diodes, free-wheeling diodes or damping diodes. In the manufacturing process of fast recovery diode, gold doping, simple diffusion and other processes can be used to obtain higher switching speed and higher withstand voltage. When choosing the fast recovery diode, the matching between the position frequency of the scheme and the recovery time of the device should be considered first, then the model of the withstand voltage device with more than 30% peak voltage should be selected, and finally the forward voltage drop value of the position current corresponding to the scheme should be considered in the appropriate matching range.
