ESD protection devices are used to prevent sensitive circuits in electronic equipment from being affected by ESD (electrostatic discharge). ESD electrostatic protection diode is an overvoltage and antistatic protection element, and ESD electrostatic protection is a common electronic electrostatic protection element in daily life. ESD diode is an over-voltage and anti-static protection device, which is designed for I/O port protection in high-speed data transmission applications. ESD protection diode is used to prevent sensitive circuits in electronic equipment from being affected by ESD (electrostatic discharge).

1) The cut-off voltage of 1)ESD diode is greater than the highest working voltage in the circuit;
2) The choice of pulse peak current IPP and maximum clamping voltage VC should be based on the maximum surge current that may occur on the line. It should be noted that VC at this time should be less than the maximum peak voltage that the protected wafer can tolerate;
3) When used for signal transmission circuit protection, be sure to pay attention to the frequency or transmission rate of the transmitted signal. When the signal frequency or transmission rate is high, ESD diodes with low capacitance series should be selected;
4) Select the appropriate package according to the circuit design layout and the number of protected lines. The size of ESD package can reflect the protection level of the device to a certain extent. Generally, the larger the package, the larger the ESD chip area and the higher the protection level, and vice versa.
