How to determine whether electrical appliances in a circuit are connected in series or parallel?

Series and parallel are the two most basic forms of circuit connection, and there are certain differences between them. To determine whether the components in a circuit are connected in series or parallel, it is necessary to grasp their basic characteristics. The specific method is:

(1) Electrical connection method: Analyze the connection method of electrical appliances in the circuit, and connect them in series one by one; Parallel connection refers to the connection between two points in a circuit.

(2) Current flow method: When current flows out from the positive pole of the power supply and passes through each component in sequence, it is connected in series; When two branches are separated at a certain point and then combined together, it indicates that the circuit is in parallel.

(3) Component removal method: Remove any electrical appliance and check if other appliances are working properly. If all appliances have been removed and other appliances can continue to work, then the connection relationship between these appliances is parallel; Otherwise, it is a series connection.

(4) Using stroke lines instead of wires, if a single wire can connect all electrical appliances together, it is called series connection; if not, it is called parallel connection.
