How to determine the model when the diode on the circuit board is broken?

If the diode on the circuit board is damaged, you can still see the original model of the diode and replace it with a diode of the same model. If the model cannot be seen clearly or the diode is not labeled with a model, it can generally be replaced based on the function of the diode in the circuit. How to determine the model of a broken diode on a circuit board?

Generally speaking, if you see four diodes on a circuit board, then it is a rectifier diode (the diode next to the large capacitor is also a rectifier diode). The most commonly used one is 1N4007, and most rectifier circuits use 1N4007! Using four rectifier diodes to form a bridge rectifier circuit, converting alternating current into direct current. If it is damaged, simply replace it.

Generally, the model number is marked on the circuit board, and components of the same model can be replaced by observation. The rectifier circuit utilizes the unidirectional conductivity of rectifier diodes, which can convert alternating alternating current into pulsed direct current in a single direction.

When the glass encapsulated diode on the circuit board is found to be damaged, it can be confirmed whether it is a voltage regulator (most voltage regulators are also glass encapsulated). Based on the symbols below the components on the circuit board, the damaged diode model and type can be determined and replaced directly.
